AFTER SCHOOL TENNIS ACADEMY

ASTA focuses on youth ages 7-12 providing the basics of the game of tennis. Youth learn how fun tennis can be and begin to develop their skills. The program introduces children and youth to organized tennis, educational and physical fitness programs. We provide structured after-school and summer time activities through one-on-one mentoring and tutoring. Our goals for the program are to teach accountability, responsibility and self-esteem, strengthen families by actively involving parents and caretakers, and to encourage healthy eating habits by providing nutritional snacks and helpful tips to fight obesity.

The program runs from September to June. Students meet Monday through Thursday from 4 to 6pm.

USTA JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS

USTA Junior Team Tennis focuses on youth 10-18 years of age.  The program allows participants to play singles, doubles and mixed doubles against other tennis teams.

HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS CLINIC

The High School Tennis Clinic offers small group instruction and takes place during the summer months.  The clinic provides training and skills development for high school students who are currently on or trying out for a tennis team.

YOUTH EMPOWERED TO SUCCEED COLLEGE PREP PROGRAM (YES)

YES prepares high school students for college admission and enables them to acquire living skills to succeed academically. YES aims to build confidence in students as they prepare for one of the biggest milestones of their lives. We aid students with the arduous process of college preparation by providing a learning laboratory and place to study and learn. We give students a comprehensive overview of the SAT exam, teach best practices for test-taking and offer study groups for the SAT math and English sections. YES also give instruction and information on finding financial aid, understanding the admissions process, and guidance on college choice.

YES also prepares students for success beyond college. Workshops focus on decision-making, avoiding substance abuse, protecting credit and budgeting. Students also get an opportunity to visit colleges and learn the difference between life in college and life at home.
